Many international families are looking to send their kids to a boarding school in America. The reason is their educational system in their own country is not up to American standards and they want their son or daughter to be a part of the American culture. In many instances, the parents do not speak english or the country in which they reside is not an english speaking country. This would lead the family to want to send their child to a school where English is the primary language and they learn what its like to live like an American.
This can go very far for a family lets say, from Japan. A young person who lived in Japan their whole young life and then goes to an American boarding school, will mature and learn from his experiences in school as well as a great education. The education at a a boarding school well surpasses any other education a person would receive at a public school. The reason for this is the small classroom size and the the student population. Most students who enroll into a boarding private school want to be there and sometimes in public schools many of the students don't.
We hope this helps and if you are an international family looking for an American boarding school we hope you found this information useful.

Boarding Schools For Troubled Teens
Many parents spend countless hours online looking for schools that they can enroll their troubled teen too. A common question we receive is, is our son or daughter a troubled teen and do we need to pull him or her out of public school and get them into a boarding school? When a student is struggling in school this does not always mean that they need to get pulled and sent to a boarding school. But if the problem doesn’t handle and the grades keep dropping mixed with some drug use, fighting and in general as parents, you are having a tough time getting your kids to listen and obey the rules, a boarding or military school may be the solution. Before you decide on such a decision, it may be a good idea to talk to a counselor or educational consultant. Or if you pick up the phone and call one our boarding school specialists we can help locate the right school for you.
So now lets say that you have decided that the best option for your son or daughter is to send them away to a residential boarding school. Now you need to select the type of educational modality and what kind of school would be most appropriate and fit the needs and wants of your child.
In selecting the most effective type of inpatient boarding school, you need to look at what your child needs and then find out what the school specializes in. For example, if your child struggles with depression and lacks social skills, you will want a school that provides small classrooms and activities which get their students out of their rooms and into social situations. Also, if you have a son, you may be interested in something called a troubled boys boarding school. Maybe a warm atmosphere so they are not stuck inside all day, with good nutrition and lots of outdoor activities.
We hope this blog helps in your selection of boarding schools. If we can be of any service don’t hesitate to ask.

The Best Boarding Schools
What is the best type of boarding school and where can I find one for my child? This is a common question that many parents ask, especially when your child is struggling. You don’t have time to waste, maybe your child was just arrested or suspended from school and you need to take action now. Whether you are looking for a military school, private school, boarding school, or boot camp, our education consultants can help you in this important time of need. In this blog we will discuss some of the different types of boarding schools available. We hope this helps in your research.
The first type of boarding school we are going to discuss are military schools. We got asked all the time are military schools for troubled teens? The answer to this question is no. Though many families wish to place their child in a military school when they are struggling either with school, drugs, alcohol or lack of motivation, it doesn’t always mean that all of the military school students fall into this category. Many of the students attending military schools are from military families and some just want to join the military after school so they feel they get a leg up on others who attend regular schools. In military school your child we learn discipline and will go through a very strict schedule and learn the core values of the military. In many situations, a struggling students grades will drastically improve in a military school.
Another type of boarding school is a boot camp. This is even more intense than a military school and is really for a struggling teen that has lost his or her direction in life. Most attendees of a boot camp are have failed out of school, struggling with drugs and or alcohol, are bullies, getting into fights, or been arrested for various things such as vandalizing and disturbing the peace. Boot camps can be very effective but do not guarantee that your child will never get in trouble again.
Remember, when locating a specific type of boarding school, do your research and ask lots of questions. This could be the most important decision for your child’s future.
